Inevitable Forum Layout Thread

The default UI is hideous especially the color scheme.

I'm assuming you guys already plan to replace it with something even if you don't know what.

Or maybe it's something I can customize myself but never learned how so tell me if that's the case.

If not just post suggestions and shit I guess.

The forum should be bathed in a 'grimdark' paint scheme.

I'm looking into it slowly. I don't exactly know how to manage the layout 100%, so I don't want to mess it up entirely. But I agree, this place is poor.

Avatars being on the right is incredibly poor design as we read from left to right and quoting can get confusing as there's sooooo much light coloring that it starts to look jumbled up.

Not to mention these stock pictures around the forum are bland. I'll be working to give this place some character. I've been doing little thumbnails for certain pictures to see what's simple, but fresh. As far as layout goes...we'll do our best.

I'm about to reorganize this place, so if something looks odd, don't worry. I'm probably still in the middle of fixing.

Preferably a dark color of some kind for the background since tiny text on a vast sea of white burns my eyes.

Yes! I agree. It's easier on the eyes. Lemme get to a computer later and see what can be done.

I really think that the default text should be larger. It's a real pain, especially on mobile viewing.

I use it a lot when making layouts, and it's helpful as fuck.

I also like the gray thing we have going on right now, if there was more contrast in certain places. Because I can't even see usernames and some other text.

Unfortunately most of that stuff is not editable.

Because Forumotion is an utter crap fucking free forum website, yet it's the only one currently worth using.

If I were to change that, all links would change in color as well, making the layout look shit in other places.

Fuck Forumotion so goddamn hard. There is no customization to be had here.
